Just Another Manic Monday

Happy Monday!  Where did the weekend go?  It just flew by and it sure didn't help that we had to spring ahead this last weekend.  That sure throws myself and the kiddos for a loop.  I so did not want to get out of bed this morning, but finally made it.

I have a ton of things to do today.  I help out in my son's classroom this morning, then lunch with a girlfriend and her son, grocery shopping, easter shopping and I am sure I am forgetting something.

Before I am off for the today, I wanted to share and exchange I received.  I was part of the LHN/CCN exchange from the HOE Blog and Natasha sent me this wonderful pillow.  She finished it into a wonderful pillow, (which she said was her first attempt at) and she did a wonderful job stitching and finishing it.  Thank you so much Natasha, I LOVE IT!  She also included a beautiful purple skein of floss, a plant stitch and a homemade card.  I was truly spoiled  I am sorry the picture is not the best, but I couldn't find the right lighting and I just had to share this.

Finishes, an Exchange and my daughter/PICTURE HEAVY

Hi,

It's been awhile since I have shared any stitching finishes, so I decided I need to get my butt in gear and do that.  These pieces were so much fun to stitch.  I am hoping to get back into stitching more now that I am finally getting over my sinus infection that I had.  The mediciation the Dr. gave me really is doing its job.  Take a look at my stitches and let me know what you think.

F&S Round 17 from Jennifer.  She did a beautiful job and she picked a chart that I had in my freebie pile to stitch, but did it for me.  I am going to use her suggestion and finish it into a biscornu.  Thank you so much Jennifer.  You did an awesome job!

Last, but definatly not least, here is a picture of my daughter Talia.  She will be 4 in less than 2 months.  It is so hard to believe that she will be 4.  Where has the time gone.  I took this of her this morning before we left for preschool.  She love going to school and is sad she only goes 3 days a week.  Thankfully she will be going 4 days a week next year as she loves it so much.  I would love to share a picture of my son, but he is being camera shy.  Don't know why.  I guess that's what a 5 year old does.  I will get one of him soon and post it for all to see.

Update on Mom

Hi All,

I asked in the last post for prayers for my mom and just wanted to give everyone an update.  her surgery was 7 hours long.  Every went well with surgery, but she is still in recovery.  The doctor said she would be in recovery 2-3 hours and then would be moved to her room.  She will be in the hospital 2-3 days.

If you could still continue with the prayers, I would greatly appreciate it.  She has a long recovery ahead.  She will be off work at least 3 months, but possibly more. 

Thank you to all for your continued prayers and I will keep you updated on my mom.

I do have some finishes to share, but will share them in another post in the next day or two.
