Stitcher's Sampler

Hello out there in Blogland. I hope everyone is doing well.  The family and I are doing great.  I am finally getting rid of this sinus infection, after 3 trips to the doctor and 3 different antibotics.  It feels great to be feeling better.

Of course, since I am feeling so much better, I have been wanting to stitch more.  I have another finish to share with you.

This is one of the two designs from The Stitcherhood's Stitcher's Samplers chart.  I enjoyed every minute of stitching it.   I used a 40ct piece of fabric I had in my stash and the thread is WDW Mermaid.

I have started the other sampler from the chart.  Can't wait to have that one stitched.  Then I am going to finish them off as pincushions to display in my basket.

A big Thank You to Anna (aka Stitch Bitch).  I used your suggestions about the ice cold water and was able to get the red out of my Token of Friendship piece.  Thank you so much Anna!  I really do appreciate.

I appreciate all that leave comments for me.  I love them.  I hope to start catching up on my blog reading soon and leaving comments.

Shamocks Anyone

Hello out there!  I hope everyone is having a great week.  It is nice to know that the weekend is almost here.

I have done a little stitching, and finished stitching up another piece.

This is Irish Shamrock from The Primitive Hare.  I stitched it on 40ct. linen in my stash and the thread is Crescent Colours Poblano Pepper.

This was a joy to stitch.  I think I am in a St. Patrick's mood, so my next start will be another St. Paddy's piece.  Though I should really get back to the 31 pieces I started in January.  I love to start things, but have a hard time finishing them.  Maybe I should make a goal to finish 1-2 of my WIPS from January before I can start a new piece.  I wonder if I could stick with it.

I am off to stitch for a little while tonight.

Token of Friendship

Hello to everyone out there!  I hope everyone is well and getting lots of stitching done.  I have been stitching, just not as much as I would like.  Since having our basement finished, there is so much to do get the house and basement back together.   So much to do and so little stitching time.

I want to Thank everyone who reads and leaves comments on my blog.  I love getting comments.  I am trying to get better at leaving comments on your blogs, but it is slow going.  Please give me time.

I do have a finish to share with you.  This the the free chart from Notforgotten Farm called A Token of Friendship.  I walnut dyed it when finished and forgot at the red.  So as you can see, the red floss bled. I am trying to figure out if I should try and get the red out, or if I should leave it be.  In a way it bugs me, but in another way I kind of like it.  What do you think I should do?

My next start is called Irish Sharmock from The Primitive Hare.  It is a free chart that can be found on her blog.  I just love here charts.

Belated Valentine

Leave it to me to be late in wishing everyone a Happy Valentine!  I hope everyone had a great day!  I had a nice day.  It was low key, but that is fine by me.

I am still trying to get over a sinus/ear infection.  I was back at the doctor yesterday and she put me on a new antibotic and also told me to start taking Zyrtec and Singular on a daily basis.  She wants to see me in 6 months to see how I am doing and to see if that helps the sinus infections.  If it does, I will still on that regimen indefinately.

 I did manage to finish stitching up the Valentine Freebie from The Primitive Hare.  I used a piece of fabric I had in my stash.  The thread is Belle Soie Rosebud by Crescent Colours.  Her silk is a dream to stitch with.  I think I just might have to start purchasing more of these silks!

The fabric pouches were made by Faye (aka Carolina Stitcher).  They are gorgeous and so cute!  I am going to use them for my scissors, needles, pins, etc.  

That's all for now.  Off to get ready for supper.  Need to eat earlier as DH and DD are off to the Daddy/Daughter Dance tonight at school.  DD is so excited.  It is all she had been talking about all week.  I will try and post a picture of the two of them next.

Another Finish

I am starting to feel better and have been stitching more so I finished stitching up another piece last night.

This is Blackbird Designs Sweetheart Sampler from their Love Is In The Air booklet.

It is stitched on 30ct. Straw Linen from WDW

Stitched with Cherry Bark from GAST.

I started Valentine Freebie from The Primitive Hare last night.  I hope to be able to share the finish in the next day or two.

Be Mine?

Where have I been you ask?  I have been sick.  The while family came down with something.  The DD started with Croup that turned into pneumonia.  Then DS got Croup with a sinus infection, DH got a sinus infection and I got a cold that turned into pneumonia.  I am done with this crap.  It is time for spring to come and all these illnesses to go away.

I have done a little stitching, but not much.  Here is the one piece I managed to finish this pass week.

It was a really fun stitch.  It will be finished as a stocking as soon as I find the perfect fabric for the back of it.  Now that our major basement renovation is done, I am going to get a sewing/craft room, so maybe I will be able to find some fabric from my stash, otherwise I will have to go shopping and who hates stash shopping.

Have to go get a few things done before picking up the kiddos from school and before my mom and dad arrive for a visit later today.
