Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. It is a gorgeous day here, temps in the mid 60's, but a little to windy for my taste.  Just wish that wind would go away. That wind makes it sure feel cooler than it is.

I am happy to share that I have stitched up my April's Christmas Ornament.  This is a free chart from Pineberry Lane.  It is stitched on a piece of 40ct. linen I had in my stash and I used the recommended DMC floss.  It is very petite and primitive.  I love it.

I did get another little Easter piece stitched up.  This is little rabbit from Spring Eggs I by Homepun Elegance.  It is stitched on 40ct. Charizma and I used a hand-dyed fibers thread called Black Berry.  It will eventually be finished off into a little egg.

I started a kit last night from SamSarah called Egg Delivery.  I don't stitch on aida, so I swapped that for linen, but I am using the thread that was included.  Hoping I can get it stitched up yet this afternoon.

My start for Day 10 of the UCJC is?

All About Halloween by Homespun Elegance

I am stitching it on 40 ct linen vintage yellow linen

I am using WDW thread Swamp Water

It is a really fun stitch.  As you can see from my starts this is going to be the year of Halloween stitching.  Halloween is my favorite and I have alot of Halloween patterns in my stash.  I am hoping to also get some Christmas ornaments stitched for my tree this year to.  So much to stitch and so little time.

1st Start of 2012

Here is my first start of the year.  This is Haunted Hill House by Homespun Elegance.  I am stitching it on 28ct. Carpe Noctum OOKA from Sunny Dyes Fabric and using DMC thread.  It is a fun stitch!

You will be seeing more starts from me this month as I have joined the Ultimate Crazy January Challenge.  The challenge is to start a new piece every day in January, so by February 1st, you have 31 new starts.  Then you finish them off through the course of the year.  I am feeling very ambitious and feel I can get it done, plue make progress on my WIP/UFO list.

Off to decide what my start will be for tomorrow.
