Egg Hunt & April Goals

Hello!  First I would like to Thank each of everyone of you who stop by my blog to read my excerpts or to leave a comment.  I greatly appreciate it and I love the new online friends I have made.

Now onto my last finish for March.  Below is Egg Hunt from Lizzie Kate.  It is a Limited Edition Kit from 2009. The fabric, chart and buttons were included in the kit.  I just supplied the floss.  I had to change most of the colors to what I had on hand.  It was a very fun, fast stitch.  Now I hope I can finish it into a pinkeep or something other before Easter.

Lately in Blogland I have been seeing other set goals for the month.  I tried this a long time ago, but I wasn't to good about keeping up with it.  Well, I decided I would give it another try.  So, for April my goals are:
  1.  Stitch a Christmas Ornament
  2.  Stitch a Halloween Ornament
  3.  Start and stitch 10 hours on Autumn on Marigold Lane from Pineberry Lane
  4.  Stitch Prim Sisters School of Needlework by Pineberry Lane
  5.  Stitch 5 hours on a WIP piece of my choice.

I think that is a great start for the goals.  I will keep you up to date on how everything is going.

More New Starts

I have been busy with more new starts.  I am really enjoying this challenge and as I look through my stash, I find more that I want to stitch.  There needs to be more hours in the day.  Cooking and cleaning take to much time.

These are my starts for the pass few days.

Give Thanks freebie from Plum Street Samplers on 35ct. Onyx from WDW

Lizzie Kate Snowman '10 stitched on 28ct. Vineyard from the Cross Wing Collection

A Spirited Mandala by Ink Circles.  The pattern can be found in the 2011 Halloween Collection Book from JCS.  I am stitching it on 32ct. Solar from Picture This Plus

Naughty or Nice by Blackbird Designs.  The pattern can be found in their Christmas Garden Leaflet.  Stitching on 35ct. Straw linen from WDW, using GAST and CC Threads.

To Market To Market by The Sampler Girl.  I am stitching it on 35ct Straw from WDW.  Using DMC and GAST Threads.

Heart in Hand What Makes Love.  35ct. Parchment linen from WDW using DMC Threads.

L
Lizzie Kate Halloween.  35ct. Parchment with GAST and WDW threads.

Shepherds Bush Get Scared Kit.  Using the floss and fabric included with the kit

Hope everyone is getting lots of stitching done.  I am really having a great time and can't wait to pick out my next new starts.

UCJC Days 12 & 13

I know I have been slacking the pass couple of days, but I didn't get alot of stitching time, so just decided to do one post and share two pictures.
The photo of above is Lizzie Kate Chicks Rules.  It was a limited edition kit that included the pattern, fabric and buttons.  I am using what is included and stitching with GAST, CC and DMC floss.  I love the colors and it is very springy looking.
Above is my meager start on Joy from Blackbird Designs.  It is in the 2011 JCS Ornament Magazine.  I am using the recommended Belle Soie Silks and stitching on 35ct Straw Linen.  It is a beautiful design and I enjoyed stitching what I did, but I was so tired last night, that I fell asleep stitching.

That's all for now folks.  Going to help the kiddos clean up their rooms and then it is laundry and stitching for the day.  Hope everyone gets lots of stitching done this weekend.

Until Next Time
