Glory & A Giveaway

Hello All!  I hope everyone is having a great summer so far.  It has been great here.  The kiddos and I have been busy playing, swimming, and reading.  Though the next 11 days are going to be quiet and dull.  The kiddos left this morning to spend the next 11 days with grandma and grandpa.  It is so weird having a quiet house.  I keep looking around for the kids and wondering what they are up to since it is so quiet.

Since the kiddos are off having fun with the grandparents, I am going to try and gets lots of stitching done and also get a couple of projects done around the house.  The first house project is going to be thinning out the kiddos toys.  They have way to many and they only play with the same couple of toys all the time.

I just put the last stitches into this piece.  This is a kit from Cheesie & Me called Glory House.  It was such a pleasure to stitch. I love the couple of speciality stitches it included.  It is stitched on 36ct. Vintage Pearl Barley linen and used Belle Soie Silk Floss.  The floss was a dream to stitch with.

I loved stitching this piece so much, that I want to share it with someone else.  I will send the pattern and the leftover floss to the winner. (There is not enough floss to stitch it again, but you can at least see what the colors are so you can choose your own)

If you would like a chance, please leave a comment on this post only and let me know what is or was your favorite piece you stitched and why it was your favorite.

I will choose a winner on Monday, June 18th, 2012.  Good Luck to all

Until Next Time
Happy Stitching

My favorite stitched piece was "The Last Supper" by Stoney Creek. Why?? Firstly, because I love the detail coloring that Marilyn uses to make her designs seem realistic. But, even more importantly, I stitched this piece for my dear grandmother as a Christmas gift...and she LOVED it! My grandmother has been my Christian inspiration throughout my life.

Would love to win! Hard to pick a favorite stitch but I guess it would have to be the stockings I did for my grandsons because they love them so much. Happy Stitching!
