October SFS

Hello out there!  What can I say, I don't have anything stitching to share again this month.  Still trying to get into our homeschool routine and planning schedule.  I think I am almost there, so next month it is very hopeful I will have stitching to share.

I did purchase 2 new patterns in hopes to get me back to my stitching.  Both from Pineberry Lane, I got All Hallow's Eve and Fancy Blackett's October Ride.

That's it for now.

April Wrap Up/May Goals

Hi!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Ours was good.  Saturday our son had a soccer game, and of course, it was cold and windy.  My daughter and I had to go to the car before it was over as it is so cold and she was shivering up a storm.  We then spent the rest of Saturday getting our basement organized and put together.  It is great having a finished basement now and was a great time to purge all the junk we didn't need.

Yesterday, we had a quick trip down to DH's aunt and uncle's house for his cousin's 40th birthday.  All I can say, is we spent alot of time in the car yesterday (3 hours down there, 3 hours home) and I didn't get much done.

This week brings daughter's birthday on Thursday, her birthday party on Saturday and family visiting on Sunday for her birthday.  I am excited to do this for our daughter, but I will be glad when the week is over with to.

 Here is my April WrapUp:
 1.  Stitch a Christmas Ornament--Stitched up Christmas Joy Free Chart from Pineberry Lane
  2.  Stitch a Halloween Ornament--Stitched Fancy Blackett & the Butter Churn from Pineberry Lane
  3.  Start and stitch 10 hours on Autumn on Marigold Lane from Pineberry Lane--Started, only got about 3.5 hours done on it.
  4.  Stitch Prim Sisters School of Needlework by Pineberry Lane-Started, but decided to start Autumn on Marigold Lane instead.
  5.  Stitch 5 hours on a WIP piece of my choice--None, NaDa

May Goals:
1.  Stitch a Christmas Ornament
2.  Stitch a Halloween Ornament
3.  Finish up Autumn on Marigold Lane
4.  Stitch and finish piece for an exchange
5.  Stitch Shepherd's Bush Sweet Stitches Fob
6.  Stitch Blackbird Designs Rose Sachet

Here is what I have stitched so far on Autumn on Marigold Lane.  I haven't had alot of time to stitch on it, but hopefully starting next Monday, that will change and it will get done.

Thank you for sticking with me for this long.
Welcome to my new followers, I am so happy to have you here.

Happy Dance

Hi!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.  It is really good here.  Overcast and in the 60s and had a wonderful morning volunteering at school.  Wednesday is off to a great start.

I would like to welcome my new followers.  I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures and I do really love your comments.

I do have a Happy Dance to share.  Halloween Greetings from Plum Street Sampler is done.  I really did enough stitching it up.  It is stitched on 36ct. vintage sand dune edinburgh from Lakeside Linens and I used Crescent Colours and DMC floss.  This piece will be off to the finishers in a couple weeks, along with the next piece I am going to share.

Since Halloween Greeting was done, I decided to start another new piece.  This one has been calling to me and then I saw Faye's finish(Faye at Carolina Stitcher) finish.  Her finish is gorgeous and so it started calling my name and I put the first stitches in last night.  This is Autumn on Marigold Lane from Pineberry lane.  I am stitching one over 2 on 35ct. 18th Century Stone from R&R.  I am using the recommended GAST.  This one will also be off to the finisher when I am done stitching.  I am really enjoying every stitch.

I am off to have lunch and then hopefully get in an hour or two of stitching on Marigold Lane.

Fancy Blackett & a New Start

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  It was very windy again here along with rain and hail in the evenings.  Yesterday Talia and I got our flowers and vegetables planted.  Here is hoping that they will grow.  I know we might have to cover them a few nights, but it feels so good to have it done.

I am so happy to share Fancy Blackett and the Butter Churn.  She was so much fun to stitch.  I used a piece of 32ct. unknown fabric from my stash and the recommended DMC floss. She will eventually be sent to my finisher, but I want to stitch up a few other pieces to send with her so she doesn't have to make the trip along.

Since Fancy Blackett is done, I needed a new start.  There is so much I want to start, but then I remembered I had listed some stitching goals for April and one of them was to stitch up Prim School of Needlework from Pineberry Lane. (just a note, this chart was designed exvlusively for the Prim Sisters Club through Country Sampler in Spring Green, WI.)
It came as a kit, with the pattern, floss, fabric, finishing fabrics and instructions.  I can tell you already, this is such a pleasure to stitch. It was very hard to put it down last night to go to bed.  If it weren't for housework and such, I would be stitching on it right now, but alas.  There is always this afternoon and evening.  I will keep you posted on this one.

I have to run.  The washer is beeping, telling me is done.  Got to get the sheets in the dryer so I can make the kiddos beds later.

Fancy Blackett

Hey!  Just a quick post to show what I am stitching.

This is Fancy Blackett and the Butter Churn from Pineberry Lane.  I am using an unknown 32ct linen from my stash.  Stitched with the called for DMC threads.  I am stitching one over two, except where there is the petite stitch, then it is one over one.

It is such a fun and pleasurable stitch, that it is really hard to put it down.

Off to put some more stitches into this piece.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. It is a gorgeous day here, temps in the mid 60's, but a little to windy for my taste.  Just wish that wind would go away. That wind makes it sure feel cooler than it is.

I am happy to share that I have stitched up my April's Christmas Ornament.  This is a free chart from Pineberry Lane.  It is stitched on a piece of 40ct. linen I had in my stash and I used the recommended DMC floss.  It is very petite and primitive.  I love it.

I did get another little Easter piece stitched up.  This is little rabbit from Spring Eggs I by Homepun Elegance.  It is stitched on 40ct. Charizma and I used a hand-dyed fibers thread called Black Berry.  It will eventually be finished off into a little egg.

I started a kit last night from SamSarah called Egg Delivery.  I don't stitch on aida, so I swapped that for linen, but I am using the thread that was included.  Hoping I can get it stitched up yet this afternoon.

Have a great rest of the day.

Egg Hunt & April Goals

Hello!  First I would like to Thank each of everyone of you who stop by my blog to read my excerpts or to leave a comment.  I greatly appreciate it and I love the new online friends I have made.

Now onto my last finish for March.  Below is Egg Hunt from Lizzie Kate.  It is a Limited Edition Kit from 2009. The fabric, chart and buttons were included in the kit.  I just supplied the floss.  I had to change most of the colors to what I had on hand.  It was a very fun, fast stitch.  Now I hope I can finish it into a pinkeep or something other before Easter.

Lately in Blogland I have been seeing other set goals for the month.  I tried this a long time ago, but I wasn't to good about keeping up with it.  Well, I decided I would give it another try.  So, for April my goals are:
  1.  Stitch a Christmas Ornament
  2.  Stitch a Halloween Ornament
  3.  Start and stitch 10 hours on Autumn on Marigold Lane from Pineberry Lane
  4.  Stitch Prim Sisters School of Needlework by Pineberry Lane
  5.  Stitch 5 hours on a WIP piece of my choice.

I think that is a great start for the goals.  I will keep you up to date on how everything is going.
